having some trouble with the E85 and cold starts and thinking some tweaking with IAC may help but there's nothing on the TB that resembles an IAC
How does the IAC function on an 04+ with the drive-by-wire TB?
is it all electronically controlled?
can you tune it?-i don't think there's a way to manually adjust anything
My scanner reads IAC values so it's there somewhere just not sure how exactly it works
TIA

Yes, the "IAC" is electronically controlled by the PCM. It just tells the TB servo motor how much to open the throttle plate thus controlling cold start flow and idle rpms and obviously throttle percentages. I do believe you can adjust it using a tuner as indeed there is no manual adjustment at all.

^Thanks, that's what i figured. Any idea how to adjust with a tuner? i'm workin with DHP and TT and the only tables i see for IAC is desired idle speed w/ trans engaged or not engaged. . . ?

Actually not sure how to do it exactly, sorry. I've never tried to tune a drive by wire car before.

Those are the values you want to adjust...the desired idle parameters, that is. Bring 'em up 50rpm or so at a time until you're happy. I went the other way, and had a 400rpm idle. LOL

Will idle rpm's actually help startups though? once it starts it runs great at 750 idle just takes some cranking to get her fired. i've added fuel and timing already with no luck. don't those tables just adjust idle after it's started? or will it change the crank rpm too?

Just out of curiosity, is your TB clean? This almost sounds like the typical 04+ no start garbage. Just wondering.

The desired idle speed table will not change cranking speed, it will usually stay ~200 RPM, give or take based on starter condition and battery output voltage. I have a cold start hesitation with E85, but it will rarely take more than 2 crank attempts to get it started on a cold summer morning. I'd say it is normal as long as it runs smooth once started. You say you idle at 750 once started while cold? If you're concerned, raise your idle RPM. Mine is set to idle at 1000 RPM until above 120 degrees ECT.

Planeboy- yeah TB is clean and this problem only occured after the switch to the new injectors(and LIM change) and E85. i suppose it could be my IFR tables being off. . . but i configured them the only way i know how.

AJL227- yeah mine only takes about 2 cranks(keeping it cranked for maybe 10secs if that) then it will fire on a cold summer morning. Not too too concerned about it now but i'd like to keep running E85 throughout the fall and into winter if it's possible so i wanna make the starts easier now. and yes, on a cold start it idles at 1000 til warm.
