I needed one and after searching found part number 213-4337 NEW (yours may be different-search acdelco.com by vehicle to get your specific part number) at amazon for $131.20. The stealership wanted about $360 for it. Unreal. Hope this helps somebody.

Crap, nevermind, forgot you had an 00. I was looking at 04+, disregard my post about shopgmparts having them for 60 bucks if you read it before I edited it.

Morad's has 99-03 MAF's for 70 bucks.

I just went to their store, which said to check ebay first. Nothing came up there for less than about $178 shipped. Maybe they have used ones that aren't on ebay, or maybe they just aren't listing them, but I didn't see them.
It's just as well, I'd have had to beat my head on the wall if I had seen that come up.

Part number 213-1592 (04+) is on amazon for less than $60 from several vendors. I wonder why the earlier ones are so much more expensive. They were in basically everything GM made except the M1 tank. It's not like they were a one-off type of thing.

Those are used. I'm looking at new ones.

And he also tests them and warrants them for 90 days. I've had a Morad's one on the 97 for 2 years now. No problems at all. I just prefer to not waste money on things that can be had for cheaper  And Morad's is 10 miles away from my university.

I know, I could have gotten a used one for a lot cheaper, but I want to be able to trust it. I've been having a problem and the cause wasn't certain. Since I really like this car a lot, and plan on keeping it for a long time, i decided to get a new one. That way, I was able to be certain I got a good one, and it should STAY good for a long time as well. I really, truly hate replacing things twice. If I fix it, it needs to STAY fixed. For a long, long time. So, for me, this was a good deal, Maybe some other people look at it the same way and maybe this will help them. Also, people who don't mind doing it the other way will find dome help in this thread also. Win, win.

I grab a couple every time I'm at the junk yard, and always have a spare handy. ;-)

ACDelco?

It's a Cardone, Advance Auto near me gets $285.99 for an AC Delco (213-4337) MAF Sensor.

That's the thing. I, and a lot of other people who have posted in my other threads, have no trust in the aftermarket ones. The one I posted about in this thread is a brand new ACDelco maf. With all that goes on in my life, I just don't have the time for issues to reoccur. When I fix it, it needs to be FIXED, the first time.

well mine is technically fixed since i cause the problem ;)

the evap and egr delete is messing w/ the maf and either it's reading too high for the pcm or the stock tune settings so it's throwing a code

Evap and EGR shoudn't effect the MAF reading.
But yes, I'd never run an aftermarket MAF, or any aftermarket important engine sensor on any car. I'd gladly shell out money for a new OEM one or a working used one (cause I love Morads haha).

well on gpf they say that if the reading goes too high or too low for the pcm than it just doesn't read it all together and throws the code and ignores it

the evap and egr are after the maf if you did not block it correctly it would though a code do to a vac leak
