Its all about making the S/C whine louder, it bears no benefit otherwise. Well, maybe a FEW extra ponies...

Its funny, I was reading on the Eaton website and it said "under no circumstances should the ports be blocked off with jb weld" I wonder, does anyone make a blockoff plate for this? Im all about a loud blower...and every pony counts.

i doubt youll even be able to notice a difference. people use jb all the time. they say it works fine. the only real good way to do it is weld it shut. pointless imo. if you want a loud blower just do a 4" fwi.

didnt install it yet but i asked few on club gp with that done..

they said it doesnt get louder... it only goes off earlier...

he said you can hear the whine on 1 psi instead of 4 or 5

how true is that?

Ahh..whats the best intake? I see alot and they all claim to be the best. Ive heard several K&Ns on utube and they scream, but as far as asthetics go, the Wizaired is by far the best looking.

How would one go about doing this and what kind of gains did you see? Do you have pics of it? I really want something, but $300 for an air filter is kinda hard to swallow.

you use pvc pipe from home depot or lowes. and just cut to fit. pretty simple really. gains arent very noticeable from the intakes. its just the sound and cooler intake temps that really stand out. you get prolly a few hp but not much. sounds amazing tho

i personally would never JB weld my silencer ports.... i would b acared of it cracking over time and pieces getting into the intake..... that would b a disaster......i guess welding them shut would b the better of the 2 options.... but me personally.... i think its a waste of time..... our blowers scream pretty good if u got a good intake to let them breathe....I got 3'' straight thru exhaust, w/ headers, and no CAT.... and u can hear my gen v PERFICTLY fine even from inside the car w/ all the exhaust noise. That whine always turns heads.

Even with loud exhaust, if you are standing ahead of your GP and get on it they will hear your blower way before the exhaust. I would personally never weld the silencer ports with JB. There are a few guys on clubgp that had the JB weld get sucked in and destroyed their top end. Just my opinion. If you can weld though, go right ahead.
