So after hours of reading Ive decided to go woth 3800seriesII performance stage 1 kit. It seems like a good price for what you get, although Ill set the pulley aside until I can open the engine up a bit to prevent kr. I want to get a good exhaust in place, but want to stay quiet...I know that goes against the physics of performancedom, but theres no sound more beautiful that the whine of a blower...when I die, I hope my angels sound like that...so I dont wanna drown that out with ricer sounding pipes. Honestly, Ive grown up hearing a V8 roar, so I havent yet become accustomed to a loud V6, its an aquired taste for which I dont yet have a taste for. So...anyone know of a tasteful, free flowing system out there?

The Gp's exhaust is not a required taste. It will always taste bad. My buddy has a borla and when i'm like block behind him and he goes WOT it sounds like ass. I have a SLP powerflo and it sounds real good idling and cruising but anything else is pretty raspy and just plain bad. My buddy's borla doesn't sound bad at idle or cruise either but i prefer mine(biased). Except this and you won't have to pay 1200 for a catback.

I just bought a corsa exhaust but those cost about $1200 brand new (got mine for $500). I have heard them before and they sound awesome.

Thats awesome..I agree that prices on exhaust systems are insane these days..I mean really, $1200? Ill go get Joe Muffler to run a custom exhaust for $150 and a case of Bud and I promise itll flow just as good. Besides, ZZP says GP stock mufflers arent restrictive, its the downpipe and resonator that plug everything up. Well see.

I have the Corse exhaust, and I love it it was worth every penny. No drone inside the cabin, and I must say it sounds nice. I am running a stock cat, and stock DP. Here is the link, and I am about a quarter of the way down the second page.

I just got a 3" DP put in, catless and u-bend delete, 3" to the resonator, stock resonator and mufflers. Its a little louder than stock but sounds really good. My friends that have heard it love it. Its not a V8 sound, just low and kind of a growl to it, I love it.

I originally bought the SLP powerflow exhaust but later ended up cutting it up trying different exhaust set-ups with various muffler - resignator combos. After purchasing a catback I decided it is better to just purchase the mufflers and tips of your choice and just go to a muffler shop.

One of the high end systems will have a clean and good sound; such as Borla, Corsa, or SLP. I run the SLP Powerflo and love the sound, also suggest a resonator if you do the cat delete though.
