Im putting a 02 GTP motor in a 00 GTP car do I need to use the PCM & wiring from the 02 or can I use the 00 wiring & PCM??

i am fairly sure that they didnt change till 03' for that stuff. but the motor and sensors should still be all the same.. i am fairly sure you can just pop it in there and hook it up with what you have.


i put a 98 motor, in my 97 then put it in my 01 and the pcm for the 97 is different, the sensors are all the same and hook right up.

You can use your PCM and wiring just fine. No differences between the 00 L67 and the 02 L67.

IIRC, a lot of changes happened to the 3800 in 2000 and weren't revised until the body style change, so I think you'll be good. AFAIK, all the changes were with switching from vacuum controlled equipment to electronics.
