If it is a 3800, it is only in the head before the valve. You could try some high quality "automotive swabs" (long qtips) soaked in oil and carefully try to clean it out. If you are really concerned you can pull the intake. If it were mine, I would go the qtip route and then hope for the best. Chances are that whatever is in there will just blow out the exhaust.

I understand. Try the qtip in the injector hole. I have retrieved small parts through injector holes before.

You could try a shop vac crevice tool over the hole,if you're concerned.
Maybe tape a fat straw to the end and put in the injector hole.

try the q-tip route, been there, done that, it works. vaseliene (petroleum jelly) also works well on the end.

i wouldnt worry. itll get burned up and shot out the exhaust. uness its metal chunks or something large, dont trip.

You're welcome.
I got thinking a little more about this one.
You *might* want to pierce a couple of small holes in the tape where it covers the end,if the vacuum appears to be loading down too much.
That should allow it to still pull air through all the holes including the straw.
You may have to experiment a bit.

I was just thinking:

How much dirt gets in the cylinders when you change plugs?

What my mechanic buddy used to do was loosen the plugs 1/2-1 turn, blow out the sparkplug well, then remove and replace the plug.
That kept dirt out of the cylinder and ensured a good clean seal.
Maybe the vacuum idea would be good for this job as well?
