WTF

what would couse a plug to crack in less then 1,000 miles? this may explain the missfire and poor fuel econmy the car had but they where brand new AC delco dirrect replacements?

going to just get autolites int he factory heat range copper cores but this makes me a bit PO'd becuasr they where not cheap being platnum tippped....

iirc the s/c hates the plat plugs even causing blowouts and misfires w/ anything over copper plugs

My guess is un less you pulled.them before you pulled the manifolds off that they got.bumped. I have done it and thought I didn't. The factory plug configuration platinum or other wise would not have been used if they where that bad.

probably did but it was missfiring befire i messed witht eh manifolds that's why i toor it down to begin with


also i bought the plugs when i thought i was going to leave it stock for a wile i had no need to go into the engine

It's probably just a defective plug. The porcelain could have cracked when it was put together.

If the porcelain is cracked it's possible you over tightened. It typically happens with #6

na i figured it out i dropped the manifold when i was taking it off and i am pretty sure that when it happend

i got soem copper core pugs for it AL104s
