Well after my car started making that squeaking noise and missing i started blaming it on a bad cam bearing but now im not really sure. My oil pressure light comes on if i put an electrical load on the engine at idle until the alternator has a chance to adjust for the current demand. So this is why i was thinking cam bearing. Well recently i had a BMW 325 toying with me and i was like what the hell ill give it a try. I got on it and let off and the car started missing just like it did the first time i started hearing the noise. It was a constant miss too. Well i put the car in neutral and reved it up and it went away all of a sudden. And i procedded to drive an hour back to Purdue from indianapolis with no problems. A few days before that, the same thing happend but i just pulled into my apartment parking lot and shut it off. I started it up an hour later and it was fine. The sueaking noise i heard was not a constant squeak. It was off and on and sounds too fast to be a rod/main bearing. Its higher up and sounds like in the valve train area. I took all the belts off and started it up and its till making the noise. Also when i have that squeak noise, if i drive for about 20 minutes it goes away.

I will find out more about this topic for you, but in the mean time, i would say check out the trans levels, even in neutral the trans is still moving. Also, I would do a compression test to see if the valve guides are bad.
