This might be a dumb question, but, how do you know if you have a belt slip peroblem? Sometimes when I get hard on the gas, it will almost seems as though I hit a rev limiter. But way too early. The rpm's will bounce dramatically. It mostly does it when it is somewhat wet out. I am running the correct size gatorback belts as per the sticky above fwiw.
Thanks in advance.

The belt doesn't have much to do with this issue, since the powertrain is connected on the opposite end. It sounds more like the traction control kicking in to limit wheel slip. Does your "Low Trac" light come on when this happens? If so, try turning the Trac system off and see if it helps.

There's also one sure-fire cure. Gr8racingfool made a cog drive system...

If you have belt slip, then there should be black powder collecting on your over flow bottle by the alternator.

Sounds like you're getting wheelspin, if it is primarily when wet. Belt slip will produce a low boost situation until the belt gains traction.

I agree, wheelspin when it's wet will cause the traction control to come on. I have that problem even when it's not wet.

I had that problem anytime I'd hit the gas before I got my new tires...
