So I really want to add at least one new mod this tax season and was wondering if upgrading to gen V blower would be a good idea?

That is an excellent upgrade. Just, be careful with pulley sizes. I doubt you'll be able to run the 3" pulley with it.

I would say still too small. Probably be looking at a 3.5 or so with your mods. But what do I know. Only way to know is tune. :D

One of the things to consider is that you shouldn't use the same intercooler between a Gen3 and a GenV.

What injector are you running? You will make more power from E85 but it is gonna take more injector.

Josh, With your setup you will need 65# injectors if you want to run e85. it requires some tuning to your a/f tables and injector flow rate. If i recall there is a link posted in the tuning sections on how to convert/tune for e85

Yep, can't do e85 without a tuner

It was only worth it cause i ran at the track a lot and didnt leave town with my car. but i also had a tuner so i could change the tune when need be. Definately a KR killer thats for sure. ran a 3.2 pulley on a ported blower with rockers and headers and had 0 kr

That's not really all that impressive. I ran a 3.4" pulley with no ported blower, had rockers, no headers, and on 93 pump gas had no KR. That was with 20* of timing, too.

Thats impressive but i know a hand full of cars with that setup that had kr up the A$$. If could have been just the car motor. factory freak? my buddy has a VS cam and headers with 3.4 and seeing KR. very little but seeing some.

But, to think that I could have tuned MOST of my KR on a 3.25" out on pump gas, still, with about 18* of timing, and stock manifolds, and unported blower and LIM...that makes the problems of E85 just not worth it to me.

That would be tough but im sure it could be done. 18* timing would be pushing it though.

Yeah I am still running stock injectors, with no KR. I had the car tunned by ZZP after I swapped xp cam for 1.9 rockers.
