Just get a PCM tuner to delete the EGR code and remove the wire connector to the EGR. I recommend not to remove the cats cuz of the bad smell. I did it to the GP when I switched back to stock cat (gutted it) and I wished I didn't.

What's different than regular emissions crap? I know the 04+ came with an SAI pump, but what did the 97's come with?

On Jaclyn's 97 the only emissions thing left is the evap system
