Good day,

I got gas the other day and I saw the pump iwas using had an option to choose 100 octane gasoline. They called it Racing Gasoline..haha. It only costs $6.99 a gallon. So what would happen if I put a 50/50 mixture of 93/100 into my GTP?

Anything good? Anything bad?

I had never seen a station offer that before. Interesting.

If you are not tuned for the higher octane, your PCM will think you are running rich and will screw up your tune. I tried it once at the track and I ran slower because I wasn't able to make the adjustments to my tune.

Interesting, I never had that problem running race gas. I run a noticeable amount faster with that in the tank

WOW....it's $7.50 a gallon here in Jersey! I had to put it in my GTP 2 week's ago. The damn gas attendent pumped 89 octane into my car when I told him 93 I did it just to get the octane up.
Like Blackwood said....don't use it unless your tuned for it....you won't benefit from it and you're wasting your money.

Then your tune is probably messed up, and you have a significant amount of KR that the extra octane helped quash. Unless you tuned with that in the tank...in which case, that would be a mistake.
