Alright folks, we had 18 GP's at the 2nd gathering. Lets break that barrier at the 3rd DMV Gathering with at least 20 GP's!!! We can't do that unless YOU are there.

LOCATION: Lake Needwood Park (some maps call it Lake Needwood Boat House)
Rock Creek Regional Park
15700 Needwood Lake Circle
Rockville, MD 20855

WHEN: June 26, 2010

TIME: 12 Noon

DIRECTIONS: From I-495 take Exit 31 for Georgia Avenue/MD Route 97 North. Follow Georgia Avenue for almost 7 miles and turn left onto Norbeck Road/MD Route 28. Turn right onto Muncaster Mill Road/MD Route 115. Turn left onto Avery Road, and right onto Needwood Lake Circle to enter Rock Creek Park. Follow the signs to the Boat House. I have highlighted from the park entrance in YELLOW to where we will be meeting at.

Attachment:

I will be there early to grab picnic tables and grills. I am asking for volunteers to bring items to the cookout. I will bring charcoal, table covers, condiments & trash bags.

THINGS NEEDED:
hamburgers ~ JOE
hot dogs ~ LAURA & AARON
hamburger buns ~ JOE
hot dog buns ~ LAURA
ice (this will remain listed since too much ice is better than not enough) ~ LAURA
drinks ~ VICTORSMALLS
chips/pretzels
napkins
plates ~ AARON
condiments ~ VICTORSMALLS
and any other items that you may want to contribute.

This list is just for a starting point, this list will change as you all tell me what you will be bringing. Please post what you would like to bring. Thank you.

I hope to see YOU there!

Anton

Well you can look for my headlights this time I will be there ;-) ;-) ;-).........

I can bring hotdogs, I'm not much for burgers but I will bring hotdogs and buns for the cook-out. I can also contribute some ice. We have an ice machine, so I will have my husband start making tons of ice ahead of time, and we can fill our water-cooler full of ice. That ice can be used for drinking ice, and I will also pick up a big bag of regular ice and that can be used to cool down the drinks.

Let me know if that will work for you Anton, and let me know if you were already getting the hot-dog buns. Also is there a specific type of hotdog you like? I prefer Ballpark franks, but I'm game for any, just not really a turkey dog. Or I can pick up a big package of each beef and turkey.

Hot dogs, hot dog buns and ice will be just fine. No, I'm not particular on the type of dogs you choose. Whether you get a big package or just Ballparks, either one will be fine. Thank you Laura.

Gotta edit that list with buns too....good looking out.

So it sounds like Dave is coming down for sure....... That would be great to get a PA resident down here....... Just two more weeks........ Can't wait, starting to get my baby all cleaned up. Worked on her over the entire weekend, that is why it rained here in the DC area last weekend. And then I got bird bombed yesterday, so more cleaning is due.......

Sorry ...... You won't believe as soon as I put the bucket away the clouds rolled in.....

But I had to clean her up a bit.... I work in S.E. D.C. right across the street from the center field entrance to the Washington Nationals Stadium. And I park in Nationals lot "F" for work, and that is nothing but a dirt lot ........ It's free parking so I guess I can't complain too much, but my car never stays clean for long.

See you all next Saturday off to work on the car some more ........

Carlisle sucked last year for the most part. The GP turn out was around half a dozen.

Doing a charity walk is awesome James! My hat is off to you bro.

Well, at the 2nd gathering we started at 12. When I left at 5:30 there were still at least 10 GP's there. I'm not even sure when they left. I'll PM you my # so you can call me when you're done.

@ Luda - don't remind me. I have folks all the time tell me how clean and shinny I keep my car. But if only they knew how I wince each and every time I see her with those teny-tiny scratches. What do you use for that? I'm not looking forward to making time to prep her but someones gotta do it? *huff*

About 10 so far. If the Flexin GP crew here in PG Co. comes through again then that'll add like 15 more just from them. This weekend would be great but.... Hey, you wanna come clean up mine since you do such a good job? :-)

UGH!!!!!! I don’t know about that ....... My arms were killing me Monday morning; they hurt when I lifted them or moved them. That was from all the rubbing and scrubbing I did to my baby this past weekend yet again. I had a front turn signal bulb go out, so I thought since I had done only the headlight clean-up why not tear into the fog lights.....

So, that turned into an all day Saturday project, because I couldn't just do the fog lights, had to re-touchup the headlights again. But I must say I think my car was the prettiest in the neighborhood. Then Sunday I did the finishing touches and worked the inside, then called it a day with some Advil.......

This weekend or at least on Saturday I am going to work again on the inside. And I won’t be able to do much on Sunday since its Father’s day, and of course I will be with my Dad. But throughout the rest of next week I will be working on her little by little to get her ready for the big gathering. I am going to bring my stuff up there to do touch ups from traveling up there.

For those of you that know about them....the FLEXIN GP group most likely will show up. So, I believe we will be well over 20 GP's!!

I'm actually supposed to hook-up with my buddy from Germantown as far as I know, unless he meets me there at the park. If he does meet me there then I will be more than happy to do a caravan ......
