I'm coming up on 60k miles and I had a few questions

Are there any specific things that I should have them check or do?

Also, how important is it that the service is done at 60k, is there any harm in letting slide another thousand miles or so?
It will be much easier to do it in a month or so

Finally, what should I expect in terms of price?

I would change out the tranny fluid. Run sync in your oil if you haven't. Change the plugs and wires and you haven't. The basic run through check fluids. struts etc.

the only thing that I've had to replace was the thermostat

everything else has been regular maintenance, oil, tires, brakes et cetera

sync= synthetic oil, good for longer engine life and oil change intervals

Mobil 1 is what I run. As far as wires are you stock or modded? If your stock then go wth delco wires aka oem wires if your modded or plan on being go wih something aftermarket like moroso what I use. For the plugs gonna need some more info what type of gp you have or u s/c or n/a?

You should've changed the trans oil at 50K miles and use DEX VI.

As for the other stuff:
-check the plugs and wires
-change the air filter (if it's needed)
-change the oil (if it's needed)
-run a can of seafoam mixed in your gas tank
-etc...

There should be a list of things that you should do in your service manual.

Those Bosch quad plugs are crap, I wouldn't get them. You would be just fine with a set of autolite platinums, and you'll save some money too.

the more I learn about spark plugs the more confused I become

on a naturally aspirated L26 engine, no engine mods at this time

platinum, copper or iridium

606, 605 or 104

acdelco, autolite or ngk

You won't go wrong with ACDelco in pretty much any situation. I put Autolite 606's in my NA GP. Might have just been because they're new plugs, but felt better than my old ACDelcos. I'm told the mileage is ever so slightly worse with copper, but the results are ever so slightly better. ACDelco's will run you like $42. Autolites will run you $12. ACDelco's are "supposed" to be run for 100,000 miles. I've seen it said that you ought to change Autolites every 30,000 miles, if not sooner (seen some people say they change them every 10,000 miles).
