Can I run the regular Green coolant in my L-67? I understand it's alot more friendly on yer LIM gasket over time. I'm picking up a Gen V & L-32 LIM this weekend, and when I do it along w/ a coolant flush & new LIM gaskets, I was just wondering if i can put the green stuff in there, or do i have to put new DexCool back in?

you can run it, but make sure you get ALL the dexcool out. run straight water though a few times, get up to temp, and drain agian before refilling with the green stuff.

If you switch to the green stuff make sure you get every ounce of dexcool out. With proper maintenance dexcool is fine.

Yeahh... i figured it would b a good time to flush all of it out.......while im doen the Gen V swap. And good timing too....cause when i was putting my headers in I noticed it was a little damp around my LIM gasket. (not badly, but i guess its pretty normal for 102K miles on the stock gasket).

I had that back around 100k. Re-torqued all the LIM bolts I could get to (there's still the ones inside) and it went away.

I just switched to green/yellow antifreeze in my GF's car at 152,000 miles and everything still seems good. I flushed the system with water a total of 8 times though and took off some of the hoses, tstat, and LIM (since the gasket was getting replaced at this time) and cleaned everything out while it was off the car too before all the flushes just to be certain nothing was caked on.

Make sure that when you do it, you have the heater on FULL so the heater core gets flushed as well.
