Well I now have 3 Grand Prix's (all red 2 doors lol) 1990, 1996, 2001. Plus my parents have a 2007 Grand Prix thats that dark red metallic color. So I'm pretty sure our neighbors think we are crazy.lol

Anyway here's the new one.

Ive always wanted a ASC/Mclaren Turbo Grand Prix. I picked this up for 1200$. Its a 1990 TGP 100% stock 1 owner with 121k miles. Hasn't been on the road since 2000. An old lady owned it and just gave it to her grandson to get rid of. No rust except where some paint came off right at the tip of the roof on the drivers side. Interior is mint - the headliner sagging. Only major thing wrong is a bad coolant leak on the back side of the motor. I believe its a line going to the heater core.

It need some love but it will be a nice car when I get it all back in good running order. The car hasn't been washed in years and it looks like it sat under a tree somewhere. No rush to get it out. Just plan on restoring it to what it was when it was new.

Looks good!

Check the trailing arm mounts, they like to rot out. Also, the PMIII brake system is like playing Russian roulette. It's an electric assist with no replacement parts, and if something fails you have no power brakes.

That's why I bought it. Things mint under the car and the brakes work great. I be been looking for a good TGP for the past year and a half that wasn't junk and over priced.

Thats my friends 84 GP.

He just built a very mild 355 for it and we put it in this summer.
As a 305 it ran 16.0 1/4 mile
Now with the 355 its at 15.1 1/4. Trans is slipping and has a terrible gear for racing.

Me, too. Though, I'd prefer the sedan version...
