Hell yea! American side has a great view, but not much to do. Once you cross into Canada it's a whole new ballgame. It's a wicked good time.

Good lord it's been too long since I've been up there.

I went to Canada once.

I spent 5 days drunk, and eating Tim Horton's.

I've been to Canada. Much nicer people, but Sault Ste. Marie is kinda dirty, unfortunately.

Niagra Falls canadian side = the way better casino cause the american side one sucks balls, lots and lots of strippers (sundowner ftw) and lots of touristy shit and some decent clubs full of women. Bring the wife and kids! ..... er... maybe not... lol

Shedd Aquarium, Adler Planetarium, Field Museum, Museum of Science and Industry, Water Tower Place, State Street, Ed DeBevik's (restaurant), oh god don't get me started. Navy Pier even has stuff in winter... Take her down Lake Shore Drive. I'll warn you, the Planetarium, Field Museum, and Museum of Science and Industry will at LEAST take one day a piece. They're HUGE. We did the Sci&I while Emily was still preggo. Got there when they opened. We didn't manage to fit everything in. The Field Museum is even bigger...

There's Hard Rock, House of Blues (a must), Gino's East (awesome real Chicago pizza), The Berghoff, Harry Caray's, a bunch of really good hotdog places (DEMON DOGS down by DePaul University), Ed DeBevik's (SP), and there are a ton of really nice expensive restaurants if that's the way to go. The Chicago area is so large you'll be guaranteed to find something.

You'll be busy. Trust me.

He pretty much has it covered. Chicago is great and if your taking the train you will run 5 miles north of my house on the tracks. Always make sure you ask the desk at the lobby for any discounts that they may have for the resturants and attractions as well. (I'm a cheap ass)

Just don't forget your bullet proof vests since there's always lots of shootings in Chicago EVERYDAY! ;-)

I would think a couple hundred dollars would cover some nice meals while you're there. But then I don't see why most places wouldn't take a credit card since it's as good as cash these days.

Chicago is not dangerous. There are those neighborhoods just like any city. You'll be fine in the heart of the city.

Also, Chicago is part of the 21st century, so I imagine there aren't many places that don't take credit cards.

Portillo's is pretty good too. Great sausages.

Mike I know that, which is why I gave him a wink. DP it is true in the bad areas though, so make sure you don't get lost and end up where you shouldn't be.

The area near the lake where the museum and other attractions is safe. My family and I have been there countless times and never had any problems. I've also been to many cubs games and I'm a cardinals fan and never had any trouble, so you don't have to worry about it.

I've seen Packers fans get some shit (well, they did start it, and dude started the fight where he got his ass WHOOPED) outside Soldier Field.

If you go to the Sci&I, don't get off on the wrong exit from Lake Shore Drive. Just trust me here. It's worth the risk.

Shedd aquarium and the navy pier for sure as well as the park in between them. It is all on the waterfront. There is always the sears tower observation deck which is cool to see the whole city from above and doesn't eat up much time usually. I assume with a pregnant wife there won't be much drinking going on but Division street has a large chunk of the nightlife. Also look up online now for routes and take the free trolley to get around when you can. They hit most of the main tourist areas and will save you a couple bucks on cabs/parking. Stick to downtown and you should be fine. I have been all over the world and Chicago remains one of my favorite cities. Very clean downtown too compared to most. I even enjoy wandering around downtown and just checking out the architecture and stuff if the weather is decent. There are a few places to eat on the Navy pier and I'm sure the hotel can give you some ideas too for food. Have fun!

Because you're lame. :D Actually, the burgers at Hard Rock could be better, but Gospel Brunch (I know, I'm an atheist, but whatever) at HOB on Sundays just can't be beat.
