I had to do a quadruple take when I saw this.

2010 Trans AM?
http://www.monsterauto.ca/usedcar_searc ... ck=TransAM

Lots of work went into that conversion, so no wonder its selling for $80k

I love the wheels. A nice modern take on the old snowflake T/A wheels.

And yeah Keebler, it still looks like a camaro because:
A) it is one just rebadged with some appearance mods
B) They are both F-body's. Look at the first gen like mine. Aside from the pointy nose on the 1st gen birds they looked identical.

I hate the argument "it looks like a camaro" all Firebirds in history have in a sence looked like a camaro or vice versa if you want to think for yourself. I like it except I have to agree with Kendra the tail lights could have been styled better.

$75,000!!!?? Well reason everyone say this is Chevy Camaro because Pontiac don't make this one YET. It is dead. Last Pontiac Firebird or Tran Am was 2002 or something.

2002 was the last yr for the Bird. Bult in St Hyacinthe Quebec Canada.

GM had to level the plant to the ground to get out of the contract with the union to build the Camaro somewhere else...

And yes, Id have a Camaro converted, and yes the only place it would say camaro would be on the ownership...

Im still bitter over the whole killed off pontiac thing...

Absolutely and Im slightly offended when I hear about buick doing well after basically becoming a fuel economy brand as apposed to something cool.

Until they fit an LS3 into a RWD version of that Regal with an M6 as the only transmish choice, and offer it only in black (no chrome) and call it a GN, then and only then will a Buick be cool... LOL

Until then they will be for blue haired fedora wearing grand pappys who go out on Sundays only.. ;)

IIRC they kept Buick because in China Buicks sell like rice cakes (see what I did there?)

Yeah, in China, Buicks are like Mercedes Benzes here. I am more bitter over killing off Oldsmibile. The only way you could have a GN would be with a turbo six. Any other number of cylinders or manner of aspiration is an abomination to the name.

I like the front and sides, but yea the back needs work. One of the better new custom birds I've seen.

That rebadged Camaro T/A has been around for a while. I don't remember what magazine did an article on it, or website (most likely Jalopnik since I'm on there all the time), but they said the same thing everybody says. It's not a Pontiac, it's just a rebadged Camaro with a body kit. I doubt that GM and Pontiac would have did much different though if Pontiac had survived. Since they were sharing platforms already, like the G5 & Cobablt.

But IMO, this isn't a T/A. And though it's powerful and at least a great attempt at one, to me it just doesn't feel like a T/A. It still feels like a Camaro.

And if you've noticed, the company that produced that car does the 6T9 as well...a take on the GTO. See here: http://transamdepot.com/trans_am_showroom.html And that thing is a f*c*in abomination. Again, IMO.
