Long story short I bought a comp g emblem off a member here and paid him via paypal. He said he sent it out last Tuesday through the regular mail. He lives in new york and im in Ohio. I figured it would have been here by now but it hasn't shown up. He swears he sent it out. How long should I wait to file a claim through paypal?

He shipped a whole car through regular mail?!?!? Well there's your problem.
If he can provide a tracking number a claim can sometimes get messy. I'd wait till at least the end of next week before bring paypal claim BS into this, because if you open one now and they refund you, he get's screwed if it shows up at your house tomorrow or early next week.
I've been screwed like this before and even provided a tracking number to paypal which said item was delivered and yet the tool who bought the item still got his money, but not from me, paypal actually covered it but he got the item and got to keep his money.

i'd just wait to be honest give it time like mentioned above, i ordered some gear from procharger and it took a literal 4 weeks to get me 4 tubes about 6 inchs long, lol don't even get me started on the amout of pissed i was i could've drove there in back going 55 in that time lol

Sent USPS? Multiply time it should take to arrive x3, then add 5. Your package will likely arrive after that amount of time.

Even though the physical distance isnt far, it can still take just as long as coming from the other side of the continent... Just the way it is. Id give it upto 2 weeks, then get concerned.

If it comes to a dispute on Paypal, as long as you notify them within 45 days of the initial purchase, you'll be covered. Otherwise, they just tell you to piss off.
