The street in front of my office flooded today so I attached the GoPro to the side of my car and went for a quick ride.

The bottom dropped out on us this afternoon. That street flooded in less than 5 minutes. It does drain pretty fast though. I went back out 15 minutes later and shot another video looking forward at the wheel but most of the water was gone already.

I put about 30,000 miles a year on my car, so they don't last that long. Not to mention how easily the tires spin on this car.

The sound you hear is the rain beating the hell out of the camera housing. We though that the mount was rattling at first, then we realized that it was the rain.

Also, on the return trip, there is a point where you can see the wake coming off the front bumper of the car instead of the front tire.

Although not in my gp I have been in some pretty deep water.. make that look shallow

I was in Daytona, Fla in August a couple years ago... We had a pretty intense rain storm/flash flood...

Somebody drowned their Mercedes Vert attempting to drive through a deep spot at the bottom of a hill...

This kinda reminds me of that... Where Im from, Ive never seen water/flooding like that...

We get pretty bad flooding around here. I'm very careful driving through puddles; I've seen too many cars stuck in the middle of the street with water halfway up their doors.
