I used to stay awake until about midnight but now call it a night early or I'm useless at work. Lastnight I didnt' get to bed 'til 1 a.m. because I went to the 'Skins and Eagles game, talk about a poor excuse of a game Left after half-time.

Well I finally got home at 4:00am and asleep by 5:00am. Kids work me up fighting at 7:00am. Got back to sleep at 8:00am. Had to get up to head back to the office at 10:00am.
Sleepy as hell.

I just haven't had as much time to be on forums. I'm always on FB though, gotta love having a smart phone haha. Not having a job leaves you more than enough time to browse the internet... I'm lacking one right now too

Blackwood that sucks. Does that happen often or is this like an odd week?

I'm a mac hater myself, unfortunately I have to drop $3K on one for school and another 1500 for a new camera. I could buy a PC with better specs for half the money...

Actually, it's quite common in this business. Deadlines don't care about sleep. Back when we were shooting the movie, I averaged 3 hours of sleep a day IF I got to go home. Several times, I was awake and at work for 2-3 days in a row and then only got about 4 hours sleep to recover before I had to be back on set. This went on for about 4 months.




If you mean computer, I have an 8 core Mac Pro. Was top of the line Mac when we bought it 2 years ago.

If you mean project, it's a 25 minutes awards program that hilights construction jobs that received the Award of Excellence for 2010. There are 24 winners this year. I get the progress shots and completion shots for each construction project and animate them to look like video footage so that it's not a boring slide show. There's narration, music and tons of particle effects for the opening and closing fanfares. It's really not that hard of a job. Like I said my PC does 90% of the heavy work. The Mac just has to put the individual animations together as one video and do the titles, which is what it was having trouble doing for some stupid reason. It was freaking out over cutting and pasting text. Stupid Mac.



That's how I ended up with the laptop I have. I was looking at the Macs, but they were twice the price of the PC I bought and no where near the specs. My laptop has a 17" screen, to get a Mac at the same price, I would have had to get about a 12" screen.
