Hi i need to change me transmission fluid and filter which type should i use ? witch one is better factory or after market?. If changing filter how many quarts do i need to add ?

it has 89000 .The fluid is a little dirty and every once in a while it slips then it won't do it for a couple of days

Year of the car would be a big help. You may want to consider adding a shift kit while you are doing a pan drop and fluid change. The transgo is a good kit. I have used WIX filters.

I changed over to GM Dexron 6 in my 2004 GP and it made the trans shift much better. It's a synthetic based fluid so it's better than the previous gen Dexron. As for the filter I used the one from GM since it's well made.
