Hey there, well after having a good look arround your board for quite awhile, I thought it was about time I joined up. Especially considering I just bought an 04 Galaxy Silver Comp G GTP just before Christmas!! ;-)

Ive been a mildly active member of CGP for almosst two years and Im very active within my own "local" club, the Ontario Quebec Club Grand Prix (OQCGP).

About me: Well at 39 years old, Ive been rattling arround in driveways working on cars since I was 16. Like most of you, over the years, Ive owned many many cars, with most of them being GM products. My GP experience started 2 years ago when I bought a nice clean Black GTP sedan which I modded up to a moderate level last summer, but with 285,000 kms on the clock and a slipping tranny in 2nd gear, I decided in December 2010 to demod and trade it in for my current 2004 Comp G.

Last spring (2010) I also acquired a 1997 Black GTP Coupe that was to be a project car. It sat in my driveway for quite sometime with only minor tinkering. I had big plans for the car as it seemed llike a solid clean and well running GTP. Sadly though, when I finally got arround to pulling off the rocker cover extensions in November, I was dissapointed to see how rotten the rockers were, and how weak the frame was as well.... So lesson learned, I ended up parting out some of the car and using some of the parts on my 1998 as well.

On top of being into GTPs, Im also a diehard Pontiac enthusiast in general. Ive been an F Body owner and enthusiast of Trans Ams for almost 20 years. My current F Car is a 1992 GTA Trans Am that Ive owned for over 13 years now. Its a moderately modded car and a very low build. My GTA was in an issue of High Performance Pontiac Magazine in 2003. I do plan to own a 98-02 WS6 one day and a 2009 G8 GXP as well (all in time or winning the lottery). LOL

So back to my new ride, my 2004 Comp G. I bought it with 20 inch silver MSRs and SSC springs installed. With the WS6 front and rear sway bars it handles like a mutha. Since getting the car home, Ive rustchecked the rockers, and swapped off the MSRs for a set of 16 inch 97-03 fat fives with Pirelli P4 rubber with lots of tread. My only other mods so far are the addition of GM chicklets just ahead of the doors on the front fenders and Comp G door badges, as well as a GMPP front strut bar with Don Rome brackets. Plans for the 04 this spring include:

-GMPP boxed rear control arms (en route from Morads, the new kind, not tubular).
-Reflective concepts inlays and overlays.
-SPO front and rear lip set up.
-Street scenes grilles.
-CAI, possibly Wizzair, but open to ideas (I fabbed my own from an old K&N FIPK from an LT1 Impala for my 98 GTP).
-Colder plugs.
-3 inch ZZP down pipe (already have it), u bend delete, and high flow heavy metal cat.
-cooler plugs and stat.
-3.4 inch pulley (already have it).
-Will Overkill PCM tune.
-Install my aeroforce someplace in the interior.
-Tint the windows.
-Morimoto Mini projector headlight mod (been reading alot of Drunkie`s stuff... Im inspired!!)

I think thats about it, but yeah I have a TON of things to do!!

Anyways, Ive rambled enough, I think this gives you a good idea of what Im into, and I look forward to contributing, learning, and enjoying interacting with others on GPONA!!!

Thanks Tyler, they are P245/35R20s. Im happy with them and considering they have 80% tread or more, they wont be going anywhere anytime soon. LOL

Welcome to the forum, and very nice introduction post. You'll find we are a lot less of a "wild west" compared to club GP :)

Thanks man, previous owner aquired them from another guy in our Ontario Club, but I gotta say, I like em ALOT!

Maybe powdercoat black?

Naw, Im digging the fact that they match my silver car. If the car was black like my old 98 Id be in there for powdering them for sure!!

This club is less WildWest?? Dare to elaborate?? LMAO. I take it you mean GPONA guys are more easy going? Got chewed out over there (CGP) by impatient long time members a couple times just for being new and asking "stupid" questions. But that was a couple years ago when I was really new to the L67 hobby, so I was really uninformed at the time. I generally go on there check the classifieds, and rarely contribute anymore.

I really like the breadth and depth of 04 and up info/content available over here and thats what drew me to GPONA. ;-)

Yeah we don't have many drama queens here. Most people on here go to CGP for the for sale stuff as well. Either way welcome, if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Anthony. And good to know about the lack of drama over here... LOL Life is way to short when peeps get political in a car hobby... something thats supposed to fun!

Anyways, here is a vid of my car I took for my local club with my Itouch4 a few days after I got it last month....

The Pirellis are P4s not P2s as mentioned in the vid. The 97 in the vid is now sold.
