Hey all:

I've been reading the forums here for awhile, so I figured it was about time to join.

About a month ago, I picked up my 03 Grand Prix SE with the 3.1. It's completely stock (and quite clean), save for the aftermarket stereo I took from my last car, and all 5 windows tinted to 20% ALT. It's dark red in color and has about 94k miles. Hopefully I'll get some more work done on it at some point; it's just too cold out for me right now.

Me? I'm 20 years old, currently a lead valet at a country club in the suburbs of Milwaukee where I live. I will be starting my first semester of college in a week and a half, keeping busy with a full time job and as a full-time student. This is my first Pontiac, and I love it, except its one fatal flaw: the automatic transmission. It definitely shifts just as smoothly or more smoothly than any Toyota/Honda/Lexus/Infiniti I have driven, but it's my first car without a stick. I obviously knew that before I bought it, but it's just going to take some getting used to

Maybe someday I'll take some pics of the car, but like I said: it's totally stock.

Welcome.

I'm not sure that the 03's came with the 3100 though, I think you should have the 3.8...

Anyhoo, I'm down in Kenosha and my gf goes to school at UWM so maybe we could meet up sometime. There's a surprising amount of people from here in the area actually.

^ My car definitely has a 3.1, and it is an 03 to the best of my knowledge. That's what the title says anyhow. I do know that there is/was no 03 coupes. I did notice that there were quite a few people from WI on here before I joined. I'd be more than happy to meet up with anyone.

this is not true. Only the 97, and 98 SE came with the 3800, as an option. after that, they only came with the 3100

Hey everyone,

I know I haven't been too talkative lately (busy with school/work), but I have been trying to keep up on the forum. And now that it is finally decent out, I've washed and waxed my car. Took a quick pic before it gets all covered in little yellow specs of tree pollen again...

Welcome :)

I feel your pain on the pollen... I was the proud owner of a newly "repainted" black GTP that was "painted" pollen yellow a couple weeks ago ;)

Enjoy your stay!

Car looks good. To verify the year, what is the tenth character of the VIN? I'd be surprised if the title got it wrong, though. I'm up in West Bend now. I miss my L67 powered Cutlass. The 3100 takes to being turbo'd quite nicely, too. :-) Welcome to the boards.

I believe the tenth character is a 3. On the door, it says it was manufactured 10/02.

If that is the case, then yeah, it is a 2003.

thanks. if i'm honest, the paint looks a lot better from far away haha. it's got quite a few door dings and paint in general isn't all that great. however, it's hard to overstate how clean everything underneath the car is. i forgot to mention that this car is originally from california.

its been cold and rainy lately, but once the weather gets better again i'll clean it up and take some more pics.

Lately the weather's been utter trash around here.

She's looking real good in that pic though!
