Well, the title pretty much says it all. I used to have a 2004 Grand Am GT (an '88 Lincoln put an end to that), and I spent a lot of time on GrandAmGT.com.

I'd been looking for a similar site for Grand Prix enthusiasts for a while, and I stumbled onto this site. I've already gotten some useful tips just from scanning the message boards. I'm hoping to get some more and maybe even kick in a little myself.

2008 Grand Prix
3800 V6 (Sorry, no supercharger)

I got it a few months back, and just started a few mods. I'll post some before and after pictures a little later today.

Welcome fellow GT owner!

Don't worry about not having a supercharger- the GT is actually the best GP to mod. If you decide to do a top swap, it will perform maybe 5% more than the GTP due to the compression. The GT is also better off for the turbo set up too. You could turbo GTP, but then you just wasted money on the supercharger...unless you sell it or something.

What are your plans for your car?

Thanks for the welcome ...

I've only made a few minor mods thus far, being that I've been pretty busy at work, but here goes:

1) 20% tint all-around (they did a nice job with the vinyl strip in the rear)

2) Leather-wrapped steering wheel (just a personal preference)

3) New head unit: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Item/Main.aspx?g=300&i=105KDPDR40&tp=5684

It's nothing special, but it has the iPod direct connect and control, which I prefer to using the AUX jack. I made a small cutout in the cubby hole of the new dash kit to pass the cable through, so I could have access to the iPod, if need be. I'm going to file it out a bit larger, then line it with an alligator grommet, so the cable won't get damaged. After that, I'll put in a no-slip mat, and then it's done.

I'll post pictures when I take the dash apart tonight.

As far as future mods go, I'm gonna put in a WAI (I don't want to put the filter down in the fender well), I'll eventually get around to getting black rims, I plan to put some red LEDs in the cubby holes, and I'd like to tint the tails. Beyond that, I'll have to think about it. At least there's no shortage of good ideas around here.

20% tints are very nice looking for ours cars. If you plan on getting LED lights for your car- anywhere pretty much talk to "THE KING" of LED lights, jarleifv.

Here is a thread of his with pictures of all his LED lights.
