hey guys, i am looking to buy a grand prix this coming summer, i really want a 2004 gtp or the other supercharged models (i.e. 2005 gtp 2006-07 gt) but i cant find a black supercharged one anywhere, any ideas about the base models? or the regular 3.8l's? i know i want one in black and plan on painting the lower front fascias bright green.

i used to own a 2000 grand am gt in silver but i totaled it after doing an engine swap and a large number of other mods to it, (i.e. custom interior, CAI, exhaust system, and many other basic exterior, interior, and engine mods) i figured i would stick with pontiac and get a grand prix since i think they look pretty nice and have decent power, hell of alot better than the g6's i was also looking into lol

but thanks for any help you may suggest with which model to get and/or with future mods or anything to watch out for

-Nick

Welcome to the site Nick. And about the new car an 04 gtp would be a huge step up from your grand am gt, and since we are both still in our teens a gtp would kill you on insurance so personally i would go with just a gt or base. Besides i find that my 04 gt is fast enough for now, and there are always cheap mods that you can do to make it faster. Whatever you do, good luck with it.

Welcome to GPONA, Nick! If you can afford the insurance and gas, I would highly recommnd the GTP

I agree with Rick. If you're going with a GTP, get a CompG. Welcome to the site and good luck finding a car. Try searching the used cars on cars.com. That's how I found my GXP!

ohhh i hadnt realized the gtp would be more insurance lol looks like the gt if i can find one will be the one to get for me, i havent found any black gt's around here though unfortunately, i really only wanted it for the dual exhaust out the back, is it easy to just buy the gt back fascia and then put on 2 mufflers and out the back? or is the room limited on the base model compared to gt?

Welcome to the club, good luck finding your GP..... And no you are not limited, you just need to replace the rear fascia, IIRC.
