How's it going everyone? My name is Dan and my daily driver is a black '06 GT. I've had my account on here since last year but only recently started perusing the write-ups and threads on a daily basis. So because I see myself being on here as a new routine I would like to say hello to all my fellow GP and other Pontiac owners! All the information I've found around the forums has helped point my modding/tuning in a clear direction because it used to seem hard finding some of the performance parts for my year.

Anyone who is in the South Jersey area, send me a PM if you'd like. I'd love to find some more people to go to local meets and such.

Thanks man, I'm checking that out right now. I'm just up 295 a bit in Mount Holly so that isn't too far. Do you ever go to the Cherry Hill Lowe's on Tuesdays?

I have before, havent been in a little bit, I used to go to the woodbury garage meet all the time before it shut down, theres a guy I know thats been runnin one up at Rowan, I havent been there yet but I hear its growing a bit and has a nice turnout, I dont go to any one that people try to act tough and rev engines or blast music, it just draws the wrong attention and usually gets us kicked out

Yeah, I know what you mean. The Lowe's meet is a little mix between respectable people with nicer cars, but with the occassional group of think-they're-cool teens trying to be showy. For the most part it's pretty relaxed, the cops talk to the patrons and haven't had an issue. But do you have any more info on the Rowan meets?

Not really, I havent been up there yet because I work at 5am everyday so its hard to stay awake late enough for me to care enough to drive up there. I intend on going, I just dont know when, I know its on wednesdays but Im not sure what time it starts or when they roll out, your GP stock?

As it sits right now here's a list of what I started:

40% Tint all around, excluding windshield
Interior LEDs in front/rear/trunk. Neon behind front grilles.
SS Cone Intake
Halo Projectors Headlights
Autolite XP104 Plugs
18x8 Moda MD7s w/ Firestone Firehawk Wide Ovals
Magnaflow XL Turbos w/ SS Dual Tips

But next week I took a two week vacation to work on her more so I'll be picking up some headers on Black Friday and getting a full 3" SS, and either an Overkill PCM or drilled/slotted zinc-dichromate rotors and ceramic pads.

So you can see I've done most of the small things and want to move on to the real deal upgrades. lol

When you lowered your GP did you use the SSC springs? And did you upgrade your struts or keep the stock ones because I want to do that before the year end if I can pull it off using the stock struts. Otherwise I'll get it done early next year with GR-2s and Excel-Gs.

I used my stock struts when I did them originally and didnt have any problems, buy I have Sprint springs, I like them a lot but I know a lot of people that have SSCs and love them, and I would wait until after winter to do the suspension, theres no reason to drop the car before it snows and stuff, I would just leave it stock height and save during the winter and decide what you want to do then after winter do it all at once

Thanks Black Arrow!

@Shipman

Yeah with the snow we can get here it isn't worth doing yet, but I am trying to get a truck for driving in inclimate weather in order to keep my GP off the road unless it's really nice out. You know, preserve the miles and keep it clean. If I can't find one this winter season then I'll definitely wait for Spring to drop the height. But I'm positive I'll be doing the full exhaust, come Black Friday. Then one other mod depending on who's having a sale. Just have to wait and see.
