Hello all.

My name is Mark and I am about to sell my GTO that I am currently driving and I am looking for something 4 door and quick BUT good on gas mileage. I have been looking and I came across a couple GP GTPs (because I can't stay away from power...) and I came on here to get the advice of those that are more familiar, than I.

A little about me:

I'm in the Marine Corps and have been for 5.5 years, more than likely going to get out at 8 and go to UTI for school. I am stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. I am originally from Fridley, MN, in which I miss SO much. I am engaged to be married Sept 4 of this year. I love Photography and if you look in my sig, there is a link to some of my photos, the other 12,000+ are on my laptop...

I LOVE Pontiac and miss it dearly as it is no more. I am the SoCal Moderator on Forever Pontiac (dot) com (sorry for the shameless plug), which is an all Pontiac forum just talking about and sharing each other's Pontiacs and stories. It's a good place and I'm glad I'm a part of the team over there.

I have owned 4 Pontiacs; a 2007 G6 V6 (sold), 2008 G6 GXP (traded), 2006 GTO (traded), 2005 GTO (selling now) and my Ford Ranger XLT, which is my pre-runner project.

Here are a couple pics of my last 2 cars, the 07 G6 V6 and the 05 GTO:

Now back to business, can you guys tell me which one would be the better buy? I realize the one with the low miles is the better of the two, but I don't know if I am missing something when it comes to certain years and if I should be avoiding anything.

#2 - 2000 GP GTP

Thanks for all the help guys!

Mark.

Mark I absolutely love your photography...

What stunning cars you have had in the past, good taste my friend!! Normally not a fan of a G6, but wow. Nicely done.

Between the two of the GTP's you have posted I would personally snag the first one without question. I am a sucker for that color for starters, but lower mileage and around the same price range and the first is very nicely priced for the mileage.

Welcome to the forum, congrats on your engagement, and enjoy your stay!

Thank you very much! I entered the above pictured G6 in the Remix Events car show and I won a medal, "Best GM Driven Runner Up."

I thought so too on the red one. I'll be contacting them tomorrow morning for sure about it. I want to grab that one while I can.

Yep, coming from over there, not leaving anytime soon though. Do you go as another name over there?

Well, bad news... Both GPs are sold already before the GTO was officially bye bye.

Also, the GTO might be hanging around for a while, due to the CA DMV not knowing where the title to the GTO is... Great.

Welcome!

I too like you pix.

I too vote for the red '01 GTP.....I'm biased towards red GTP's.
