 Post subject: cannot shift from park

Hey hows it going i have a 2002 grand prix had it bout a year and now all of a sudden it will not shift from park unless i use that shift release button.... is this fixable can i do it myself ? any help would be appreciated .. thanks

I have a same problem. I quit. I just use shift release button since then. I think I have that problem over year. It was annoyed first but now I used it. I have 2 Pontiac Grand Prix cars. I need to make sure to know what to shift or use tool to push shift release button on both cars. :lol:
