Hey Everyone!

I'm Theo and I'm new to the Forum world! I had a Base model Grand Prix, but I liked it so much I upgraded to the GXP when I came into some more cash. This forum is AWESOME! I really like some of the ideas I've seen and I the guys I bite from don't get too upset at me! Right now the GXP is stock but I plan on doing the K&N intake before the end of the year and eventually a Magnaflow exhaust, FLIP custom headlights (if still possible), tints and rims.
I would like to add some chrome to the side vents... Do anyone know or have an idea as to how to do that?

Welcome to the forum!

A nice top swap would have done you a ton of good on the base. The 3800 v6 is a very good engine, but i can't blame you for going for a v8, lol.

Pictures or BAN :D

I didn't know much about forums and I was asking around about if I could throw a supercharger on my base model and everyone I asked said NO. One place did say something about a "Top Swap" but they made it seem extremely expensive, laborious, and not worth it. That guy just recommended I try a Turbo Charger and I didn't want to go that route. I'll get pics up as soon as I get back home... I'm chilling in the desert.

ya, it's not a simple bolt on. It requires you to change out the heads so you can fit the supercharger on top or you could have gotten the ZZP top swap kit. This forum eventually makes you into a grease monkey ;) Having the GM service manual helps a lot too (Link-top right of the forum). This is has far as I've gotten with the GP before getting the G8

Can't wait to break in the G8 in the future :)

Man that's CRAZY! I'm sure I would have spent less money on the Top Swap, but it's money gone. Thanks for showing this to me, though. I'll remember to be a little more skeptical in the future. The guy basically scared me by saying I would damage the engine beyond repair. I'm loving my GXP, though! HUD, Tap-Shift, V8 roar, sunroof, and leather/suede seats! I'm really excited about modding it!

Get some stainless steel brake lines- made a bit of a difference. I had GXP brakes on my GP before I sold the brakes.

Hey what does stainless steel brake lines do? Does it help with stopping power or just looks good? I'm a rookie when it comes to this stuff!

Thanks everyone for the welcoming! I appreciate it! The Inferno hood and spoiler sound like good ideas! I have to think of a good paint scheme!

It makes the brake pedal a lot firmer. The rubber lines will feel spongy in comparison.

Well that makes sense! Thanks for the heads up! Now does someone make those specifically for our car or can I just go to a neighborhood AutoZone and pick them up?

Welcome to the world's best GP forum!! And speaking of world, where on this blue marble are you located? Just curious!

And like Anthony said, pics of you ride please!!!

I nearly bought a GP GXP last year, so I have lots of respect for them. :)
