Should have introduced myself sooner.
I've got an 01' GP GT that needs work but the car is just plain fun to drive.
Was a locally bought one owner that I probably paid too much for but I just couldn't pass it up.
You'll most likely see me in the 3800 N/A section making a nuisance of myself and asking dumb questions.
A thank you to the guys who've already been nice enough to answer some of those dumb questions.

Jim

Welcome to the site. No such thing as a dumb question. That is what this site is for.

I'll try to talk my wife into going out to the shop and taking a few pics for me.
The car is down right now with a rod knock and the engine is in the process of being disassembled to see exactly how much damage I'm looking at.
I've heard horror stories about pulling the engine out of a fwd car but this one was surprisingly easy compared to some that I've seen.
I really like the car for a number of reasons, not the least being that everything still works on it and till that rod decided to act up it's been very, very reliable.
Last Pontiac I had was an 87' Grand Am which was a very good car, but I'm just not comfortable in one that small and I hope the Devil isn't kind to the engineer that designed the placement for the ignition control module.
I replaced that thing twice when once would have been too many times.

Jim
