Right now I average 20mpg, and that's about 50/50 city/hwy driving. If its just highway it'll hover around 24-25mpg. I don't have any engine mod's yet but most GXP owners gain mileage with catback and a tune. I dunno, 303HP and 20mpg avg. I'm fine with that.

I second that. I'm averaging about 18-20 in mixed driving. Too bad I can't do more highway driving as I average about 24-27!!!

Depends on how I drive.

If I keep it around 60-65 I can get around 23mpg highway and city driving. I usually get around 21.5mpg, though.

A couple weeks ago i went to Kentucky and got 26.7 on the way there with cruise set at 73mph and 24.9 on the way back with the wife driving mostly. She set the cruise higher so the MPG's went down.

Me and my wife just got back from a trip to Michigan and we got 28 on the highway both ways and 19 in the city, not too bad all things considered, by the way Michigan roads SUCK, I might need new struts after that trip ha ha :)

I don't have a GXP but i get about 15-18mpg in the City.
You need to ask what are peoples driving conditions. THat is my gas mileage with me babying it. I live in a town with a lot of grades and hills and that kill my mileage. If i lived in flat town i could easily get 20mpg. I hardly get up to 50 and even that is over the speed limit. Hills, stop and go, bad combination for gas mileage. I don't do any highway unless i go out of town.

I think alot of it has to do with driveing habits and useing 93 0ctane gas, also how much extra shit you cary around in your car, Iv'e found that setting cruise comtroll on 73 mph seems to yeild the best millage, and not stomping on it all the time while driveing in town, although some time's it's hard not to

I agree it has to do with the driving habits. My mileage depends on my mood while driving.. more a gressive less mgp.

We moved a couple weeks ago so now I drive about 50 miles a day, almost all highway. Now as opposed to the 21 I was getting before, I'm getting a steady 25.5 mpg going about 75 mph. If I kept it around 65 I know it would be higher. Not too shabby!

Last tank mostly mix of about 75% highway and 25% around town got 25.4 mpg. I drive about 75 on the highway so it could be better. This is running 93 octane super.

I don't know what the deal is. Lately my GXP is averaging pitiful gas mileage. When I last filled up, I averaged 12.4 according to the DIC, and when I did the math based on miles and how many gallons I purchased it was 12.43, so the DIC isn't lying to me.

Why is my mileage so bad? My tires are all aired up to 31 pounds. I barely drive the car (I work from home and only drive it probably once every two or three days, so it's in an 85 degree garage more often than not) and I am doing almost exclusively city driving stop sign to stoplight to stop sign, etc. I'm using 93 octane with up to 10% ethanol in it according to the gas pump, and my mileage is just horrible.

I don't have a car full of crap either. I have maybe 5 pounds of stuff in the car at all times, and I only weigh about 170.

I used to average at least 15 or 16 in the same driving conditions, just cooler weather.

Any ideas wtf the deal is? Is it just because the weather has been in the 100s for the past few months or what? I'm not exactly driving WOT all the time, and the mileage is terrible until I get over 30 mph and the DOD shuts down 4 cylinders and the mileage shoots up to like 24 to 35 mpg.

Before removing the cat best I got was 30 mpg, set at 60. Best average 28 across a full tank, normal average now catless 25/26. Around town between 14-19.

DoD was deactivated on all occurrences. I hated DoD, I had it tuned out as soon as possible.

I have to agree with everything that has been said... i get 4-6mpg better than my wife when driving the car. My mileage is about the same as the stock guys that have posted. On base in traffic (highest speed limit on base is 30mph) its horrable and I dont even want to look at it. My wife has a tendency to put 87 in. and i can tell for several tanks that she put cheap stuff in from my mpg.

I'm considering maybe a GXP for a commuter because of the DOD....

I commute about about 100 miles a day, what kind of mileage should I expect?

75 of that a day is highway.

Well, if you keep it 73mph or under then the MPG's should be close to what I got on my trip to Kentucky 26.7mpg. Just a couple more mph seems to cycle DOD MUCH more and you'll be dropping mpg a good bit.

i have an 06 impala SS with just swapped flowmaster mufflers.. i do ALL city driving.. and average around 10.3-11.0 mpg.. and thats just because i go wot ALOT.. i have a loud exhaust cause i wanna hear it.. so i wudnt say i baby my car.. more like spoil it with gas... im that guy with the car ud hate to be the next owner of
i get 200 miles to a full tank on good days.. and i say days cause i pump every 5 days.. usually use a quarter of gas a day..

sounds like im bragging.. but im really not, its pretty sad

just got a k&n intake and went today from 11.0 to 11.4mpg so im very surprised at how well it works..

Well I recently went on a trip worth 283 miles on a full tank o gas, and got to my distination with a 1/4 tank left. If I did the numbers correctly that should be around 21 mpg. There was a couple of construction zones and a few towns I had to slow down at because the highway goes through them, and I also like to go WOT every once and awhile, so the mpg could be a bit better then that.

I regularly get 18-20 around town driving spirited but not too crazy most of the time. A recent trip from WI to FL and back got about 27.(4 I think) doing 85-90mph the whole time. Made the 1300 mile trip in just under 18 hours with stops for gas :)
