Just got my 2008 a few weeks ago. I drive about 70% highway and 30% city. So I get about 25 combined. When just on the highway I'm getting around 27.5.

With nearly 30,000 miles on my '06 GXP I am getting 19.5-20 mpg with 45%/55% city/highway driving.

Well, took a 600-some-mile trip in my GP GXP and on the way there (climbing elevation), I averaged 22.2 mpg. While in town there (no underground sewer system = have to brake at each intersection for the dips) I averaged 7.8 mpg... and without resetting the average fuel economy on the DIC, I averaged a total of 19.7 mpg on that tank of gas while on the mostly downhill return trip.

Not very good. Tires were aired up to 32 psi... so it wasn't a tire pressure issue.

The highest I averaged on completely flat sections of highway was 24.8 other than the occasional higher blip.

Seems much, much lower than what I am used to.

My GXP doesen't get very good mileage, but it spends about 80% of the time in town, with the wife driving it. She isn't afraid to use the V8 in the car, so we average about 14-15 in town. On the highway, I usually drive it, and I have found that if you drive over 75mph, the DOD doesen't kick in or something, and around here, you don't want to drive below 75. To damn flat around here to go that slow, you'll get bored. We get about 23-24 on the highway. I'm sure if I set the cruise @ 70 or just below 75, we could get about 27, but I wouldn't expect any better.

My mods include exhaust and custom FWI.

The weather has cooled down here and my mileage is starting to go back to something acceptable!

It also didn't hurt that I tried to keep up with a Ferrari F40 yesterday, so I blew some carbon out of the system I'm sure! Best... day... ever....

This video was taken while we were at a red light. I would have followed him, but a car got between us.
