Can you describe the slipping in more detail ? What exactly happens from a stop.

Sounds like you got a bad forward band in your transmission. A transmission flush wont help. It will need to be replaced. You can get them cheap but labor is going to hurt.....

He's still under warranty. Try to get the dealer to check it again. Or see if you can find a time when it will happen more.

Mine is also slipping. I have an '07 GXP with 98k and it has been "slipping" for about 30k miles. When I come to a stop at a light and then try to take off, it feels like it's in neutral or got caught between 1st & 2nd when comming to that stop. Slips 2 or 3 seconds and then off we go. No noise, shaking, banging or grinding. But I usually take off easy. Wonder what would happen if I nailed it?

These episodes are very infrequent, always when the tranny is cold, from a dead stop (1st gear) and always when it is in Drive, not manual. Never slips in Manual. I have stopped in a couple of GM dealerships here in SW Flordia that say they are "Pontiac" dealers but when I say "LS4 with the Tap Shift" the service advisors get that glazed look in their eyes. One highly trained professional @ Darby Buick GMC in Naples even chastised me for not rotating the tires front to back! Couldn't get out of there fast enough.

Anyway, I am not to worried because it rarely happens and has not gotten any worse. BTW, how much did you pay to have the fluid serviced? Darby Buick wanted $379. The kiss afterwards was extra. thunt58@comcast.net.

Flushing a trans isnt usually a great idea. Fluid and filter changes are typically enough.

I've had it happen to me twice. Once after a cold start first take off, and once more at a red light after driving for about an hour. Scared the crap out of me but I can't make it happen, and its been about 2 months since it last happened.

Makes me wonder if it's like an electrical/computer glitch that rarely happens.

My 05 used to do this. I'd be at a light and give it gas to go and nothing, then it wold bang into gear and start going. It was very inconsistant and unpredictable as to when it would happen. I never looked into getting it fixed, but the car is gone now anyways.

My 08 does this too, but like everyone said only from a dead stop and a cold engine. However when mine does it, it does make some noise, kind of sounds like the tires are are spinning then TC kicks in. Haven't had it looked at because its only done it a hand-full of times. Not too sure what the problem is. All the fluids are fine and when I bought the car (Aug 2011) the dealer said they just replaced the tranny fluids and filter..?

Oops, I didn't realize I was in the GXP area. Mine was NA V6. Sorry folks. Same problem, different transmissions. :D
