Just bought a set of 18" Alcoa rims. The guy that had them before has 225/50/18(or whatever the back size is) tires on all 4. On the front the tires look a little stretched but not too bad. Is there any risk having the wrong size of tire on these rims?

It depends on what tire is on there, looking at the stock RE050's looks like 8" is the max. What brand do you have?

Looks like technically its ok, but its at the limits and I bet your speedo is off too, but not by much:
Actual Speed: 60 mph 100 km/h

Speedometer1: 60.3 mph 100. km/h
Speedometer Difference: - Speedometer Difference: 0.662% too fast
Diameter Difference: - Diameter Difference: 0.67%

I would go ahead and change then to the correct size, but technically your ok.

For what it's worth...

From http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp

225/50R18
Section Width: 8.85 in 225 mm
Rim Diameter: 18 in 457.2 mm
Rim Width Range: 6 - 8 in
Overall Diameter: 26.85 in 681.99 mm
Sidewall Height: 4.42 in 112.26 mm
Radius: 13.42 in 340.86 mm
Circumference: 84.35 in 2142.4 mm
Revs per Mile: 774.6

And shoot, that much error is the speedo is nothing. The stock speedo isn't even able to be that accurate in the first place.

You'll be fine with those tires. Stretch isn't a concern if it's stretched within reason, which it really isn't "stretched" at all since that tire can handle those sized rims. Keep them unless you wanted some tire that was better performing.
