I am in the market for a new exhaust system for my 2006 GXP. I have been reading up on just about every post and I can see a lot of people who seem to have the Magnaflow exhaust and have been saying good things about it but I have not seen anything said about the SLP Powerflow exhaust. I am looking for an exhuast that will bring out the true sound of the V8 but not drive me crazy when I am driving on the highway to work. I am curious if anyone has the SLP and what their thoughts are?

I just recently got some magnaflow mufflers installed on my gxp based on watching all the youtube videos on gxp's with exhaust systems. I really didnt like the slp power flow because it sounded alot like the v6's with the raspiness. All the videos I've watched with the magnaflow cat back made the gxp sound really good and brought out that true v8 sound.

I'd recommend watching some youtube videos to compare.

I only saw one video with the SLP powerflow on the GXP and a ton of videos with bad sound for the magnaflow. The one thing I did notice was it appears that the SLP Poerflow does not come with a resonator and appears to be a straight pipe. Then again it is just a picture and the actual product could be different.

Well exhaust sounds is all about preference and opinion lol. Like I said I loved the way the magnaflow sounded on all ls4 cars, but the SLP sounded very raspy and crappy to me.

Your best bet is to watch as many video clips as you can to try to feel it out and figure out which one you like best.

If you do decide to go with the magnaflow, a member posted a magnaflow direct website with a promo code to bring the price down to around 500ish. I'll try to look back and find it for you.

I did find that code and the website is MagnaflowPlus and the code is Magnaflow1. It brings it down to $570. The other website that I saw them selling the magnaflow exhaust system cheap is

It is only about $10 different between the two and I have sent MagnaflowPlus to see if they will match or beat the price as they advertise on their homepage.

UPDATE: I was just on the phone with a rep. from Magnaflow Plus to see if they could match the deal I found on Discount Performance Exhaust and they said they could do $538 which includes free shipping by using the code CrazyDeal.

Using "Maganflow1" on Magnaflow Plus gets the rpice to about $575 with shipping. On Discountperformanceexhaust the price is $565 with shipping. But if you use CrazyDeal on Magnaflow Plus you can get it for $533 which includes shipping. That is the cheapest I have seen so far.
