Haven't been on in quite some time. Just an update that my 07 GXP now has a little over 27,000 miles on it and has been excellent so far. Only thing done was the iss at maybe around 20,000. I have no complaints. I still have the original brakes which still work fine. I do downshift in tapshift mode to help with brake life. The car has the same great power and decent gas mileage consistently as well. It is driven all year round and has held up very well. What a great car !!

I agree. I've had the ISS, steering rack, and a bad O2 sensor connection. Much less that any car I've owned so far, and by far the most fun car I've ever owned.

I'm seriously starting to think I have a lemon.

1) Dead battery @ 30,000km
2) Clunking noise from mid to rear of car under any acceleration/deceleration, bumps etc. (Dealer cant figure it out and thinks maybe a loose baffle in gas tank)
3) Transmission shudder 1-2 during hard acceleration

This is unbelievable to me since I've only had the car for 4 months. My 99 GTP had almost nothing go wrong with it until 100,000km.

I am seriously thinking of going away from GM for my next car after this....

I've had mine for 18 months now and I've only had it in for service one time for the ISS. I've also replaced the front pads and front tires, but that's it, knock wood. And it still put's a smile on my face every day.

Bob, the battery and the 1-2 shift shudder are semi-common with this car. The 1-2 shift has a TSB out for it-calls for replacement of the 1-2 clutch pack. The battery seems to just drop a cell all of a sudden.

Well i havent had anything wrong since i owned the car. According to the VIS the radio and A/C compressor were replaced early on in the cars life.

I have read others having issues with the 1-2 shudder, however, the dealer replaced the clutchpack after looking up the TSB and there was absolutely no change. Some days it feels like the front end is going to shake apart. Now that I have my Overkill tune, I have felt the shudder when skip shifting from 3-1 as well!

Now I'm still trying to find out where this clunk from the mid/rear is coming from. The dealer has asked me to monitor the noise as my gas level drops in the tank in case it is a baffle inside moving around. So far, with a full tank, it is much quiter however still present to a small degree. I even noticed it after pulling into a parkng lot and just driving at 5mph across the surface. I had some struts which were shot on my '99 and it made the same clunking/rattling noise.

I really am not enjoying this car with so many things going wrong in such a short time and no clear diagnosis. Quite a shame. I would be so ticked off if I paid the $40K price for this car new.

Bought mine with 9k miles on it off of Ebay for $16,200 last Nov. Now have 14.5k very fun filled happy miles on it. My only complaint is the crappy radio reception.

I'm hopeing GM got all the bugs worked out by the 08 models. This car is a keeper so far.

had mine for around 5 months now and only 1 problem with it... but it was a common issue in these cars, otherwise im loving this car everyday, and i can agree with what another person said that it puts a smile on my face whenever i look at it.
