At one point in the not so distant past I was interested in picking up a gxp. Now that it seems like its becoming a reality I have a few questions... I spoke with a few local enthusiasts who own them and it was explained to me that we could use the paddle shifters to hold 2nd hear for pretty much the entire 1/4 mile and in doing so run a high 13s pass on an otherwise stock car. Is this true?

sure is....start off in auto then after it shifts to 2nd throw it into M and it will stay in 2nd til the line...if you dont it will shift a little before the line into 3rd

If u dont mind me asking... why did you not do that when u ran your car at the track? id assume with your mods on a high 13s car stock, youd be able to pull atleast a mid 13 pass.

i did....i have to work on the driver mod...my 60' was i think a high 2.1 or 2.2...if this car had a driver it would be a high 13 second car lol

correct me if im wrong but i think the comp g's have different gearing so i honestly dont know.

True DP. haha, it takes some time getting used to launching a fwd car with some power.

No. It wont work with the comp gs.

I did the Auto for first then manual for 2nd. I got the shift light right before the line. Once it over reved and my CEL was flashing for a few seconds. I usually wind up shifting right before the line.
