I bought this car in January, but just got around to waxing it.

It currently has 27,000 miles on it, has zero mods, and will remain modless. It's such a hot car that everybody in Grand Prixs as well as Cadillacs, Corvettes, etc. stares at it. Heck, I even got complimented by a Lamborghini owner. I didn't receive the build sheet when I purchased it, so I don't know all of the options. I have dual-climate HVAC, black leather with suede inserts, heated seats, HUD, tap-shift, sun-roof, Monsoon speakers, 6-CD in-dash CD player, and more. This car is a dream come true. GM really made a great car here, and a wonderful color.

Welcome to the club, and nice GXP. Be careful though...the mod bug can bite without warning.

Hey go to a dealer and ask for VIS sheet. It incudes build date, options, warenty work, Start end date for warenty. You will have to give them your VIN.

Great info, but what does VIS stand for in case they don't know and ask me?

Thanks for the compliments everyone! I really doubt the mod bug will bite me, because there are other fun things available for me to drive in the family. In order of how cool they sound... (loudness haha)

My mom has a 2002 35th Anniversary Camaro SS with SLP options including Auburn rear differential, 345 hp cold air intake + SLP Center Mounted Exhaust, Hurst short throw shifter, Bilstein shocks, and Eibach springs. Very low mileage garage queen with around 16,000 miles on it. Sounds amazing.

My sister has a 1995 Camaro Z28 hardtop with leather and every other available options except t-tops, performance axle ratio, and traction control. It sounds amazing as well, and has a sound that I don't think a modified GXP can quite touch. It makes my ears feel good haha. It's fairly low mileage for its age at around 88,000 miles.

Then my car would be the next best sounding.

And finally, my dad has a 1992 Corvette that is fairly high mileage. It doesn't sound amazing, but he enjoys it, and likes to hot rod it and work on it. He doesn't live locally, so I've only driven it twice I think.

This pic below is Photoshopped because I didn't have my car back when this was taken. I had a Toyota Corolla.

I like the photoshoped pic that looks great lol. I know how u feel i was surpised i got complients about my car. Even to me its not all that different at a quick glance from regular grand prix. I mean if you not really look for the Side ports or different lower bumper it could just be any other GP with 18" wheels. But i have had severl positive remarks. I need to get my windwos tinted. Bugs the crap out of me right now. I also love that pic from up high makes the look awsome.

VIS(vehicle inquiry system), just states every feature and option of the build, and i agree, these are some great cars, gm is screwing up big time by quiting production of the beasts....i love the way the gxp bumpers look, so bad ass in my opinion

A GM dealership will know what your asking for. Got mine when i bought because i knew about them used to work for GM. Showed i had a stereo replace and A/C compressor replace but thats all the warrenty work on my car. Also it should help verify if you have the 5yr 100,000 mile powertrain warrenty or not. Aslo start date and start milage of your warrenty. For example Mine start at ten miles SO my milage warrenty for the bumber to bumper would expire 36010 miles. Good thing to know in case it stayed at the dealership and racked up a few hundred miles or even a thousand miles before being sold. Give you all the RPO codes for your car. Great thing to Keep with your car to verify it for collection status in the future. Wish i could have got my window sticker but ohwell.

I had my service guy get all the work done under warranty printed off for my car, but it didn't show the options and such. The GM warranties since the start of 2009 are kind of lame. I paid for a $0 deductible 5 year warranty if I remember correctly, and since the beginning of 2009, GM changed the rules I was told by the guy who did the paperwork at the dealership. When you purchase the extended warranty, it now has to start from the day the car was originally delivered, and not the day it was purchased used by you.

I bought my car with about 2 weeks left of the 3 yr full manufacturers warranty, so when I paid for the car, and purchased the 5 year extended warranty, I paid for 5 years, but only actually get 2 years of coverage, because it started from the date of original delivery. I didn't have enough money to go any further than that and still pay for the car in full, so they said I can just re-extend the warranty a few more years later on down the road. I think it's a very good idea to keep these cars on $0 deductible warranties, because there are a LOT of Technical Service Bulletins (TSPs) regarding the transmission. These cars being so powerful seems to wreck a little havoc on the transmission. :!:

Wow looks like i bought mine in time then. I bought i 12-27-08. Didnt have to transfer anything or pay any fee's for the 5yr warenty. Mine had 22K when i bought it so i had 14k mile and almost 2 years left on my bumper to bumper warrenty. I may be wrong but GET the VIS you should have the remaining ofthe Factory 5yr 100,000 mile powertrain still intact

I got the VIS last week, thanks for the suggestion guys!

It doesn't seem like I have any particularly rare RPO codes or anything like that, but I don't really know. What's rare on GXPs? Was there a performance axle ratio offered? Anything noteworthy and unusual?

They were all basically loaded. I know Stereo's and maybe sunroofs were really the only options. Nav is the biggest differance most people have.
Seems tan/light brown interior is very rare. I have seen one locally didnt really like it though. THen certain paint codes.

Did you learn anything about yoru warrenty

I didn't ask anything about my warranty. It's pretty much exactly as I stated it was above unfortunately.

Nice. Here are 2 pictures of my 07 Stealth Gray also. I just got mine out of the shop also ( someone plowed into the back end) I got the new exhaust with the 3" DP. I'm working out of state right now but when I get back it's getting a new hood, tint, and lowered. I can't wait!!!!
