Really? I called NTB, Advanced, and Auto zone. They can't even order it. They said go to the dealer. Now my car is sitting at the dealer with a dead battery waiting for them to pick one up from their warehouse this afternoon. 120 for the battery, -12 for the core charge (gasp) and who know how much to have them install it because I have to go to work tonight and sleep before so I wont have time. Every car I've ever owned has had weird batteries that I needed to run around and pay extra for. I had a stupid Hyundai with reverse terminals. How stupid is that. Extra 40 for a battery with reverse terminals. Just turn the damn battery around!

OK i'm done venting.

I know it's too late, but I work at an auto parts store and yesterday coincidentally I had a guy come in looking for a battery for his GXP. Stock group size is an 85 but you can use a group size 26R which is just a reverse terminal, hence the R, but is only lil smaller in length and is same height and width and will work as a replacement for the group 85 battery. Hope this helps for the future or for others who may have the same problem.

Yeah it's a serious issue.

I was only able to find one (Bosch - ~$85) at Pep Boys. Yes, one.

I was not prepared to pay the dealer for an ACDelco.

When I went looking for a battery for mine a few months ago, all the autozones, and advance auto parts and oreilly's around here had it listed as a "side post" battery. Finally NAPA had the right battery. But it's crazy how it's so hard to find one for these cars.

What's so odd about the GXP batts? And WTF is this reverse terminal thing? I've never heard of this. Guess that shows how 'available' these batts are LOL.

Bought an Optima 35R from Farm And Fleet..Was very easy to install....but a pia to get the delco out. The dealer might charge you up to an hour labor time, because it is hard to get these batteries in and out. I would say it took me about 40 minutes to get the old one out and install the Optima. The delco is a crap battery imho, it was leaking acid all over the place, that wont happen with an Optima. Also, the Optima is a little shorter and slides right in.

It was 120 ro the battory and only 40 bucks for the install. Which isn't bad at all. He called me and said they were about to do it, It would be done in 30 minutes.

Ok. Battery 101 time.

Interstate batteries = Garbage.

$120 for an ACDelco battery is a STEAL.

ACDelco batts have the absolute best shelf life of ANY battery on the market (except gell cells). Delco batts arent filled until RIGHT BEFORE they leave the warehouse. Where as every other brand is filled during production and can sit in a warehouse for a very very long time before it ever sees shelves. I sold Delco's left and right when I was in autoparts. I took in NUMEROUS 1-2yr old Interstate and Auto-Zone, Advance, Napa, Federated and many many other batteries as cores. Never EVER took in a Delco battery that was less than 8yrs old.

Costco carrys the Optima SC75 for about $124.

It's the same as a Red35, but with dual terminals. Pops right in because you can
tip it 90 degrees without spilling.

Fits great & looks kinda cool also.
