Hello all,

I'm picking up my new GXP this week and I'm already itching to mod it and have a question about muffler sizing.

I found a listing on CL for 2 magnaflow mufflers that are 2 inch inlet/outlet and Center/Offset for 120 bucks brand new.

I'm pretty sure this is the size u need for the GXPs as this was the size for 3.8 gps.

I already have a brand new set of GMPP tips that I bought a while ago for my old GTP so if these mufflers will work I'll have mufflers and tips, and then I may delete the resonator.

Also what are the prefered spark plugs people are running in the ls4? Ive seen a few post about NGK Iridium TR6IX plugs gapped at 0.035" and 0.040" can anyone give me any insight on this plug choice?

Can anyone tell me if these mufflers will fit maybe with some reducers or adapters? I really want to buy these 2 brand new mufflers for 120 dollars

2.5 and splits into 2.25 to each muffler. I wouldnt try to put the 2" ones on, going smaller isnt the best idea. try to go 2.5" if you can find them.

I got the mufflers on and installed with some gmpp tips. The muffler shop charged 100 bucks to install them. I told them to have the tips stick out 1/4" max, but they "thought" I'd like them to stick out like 2 inches. The sound is decent has a nice mellow v8 tone but its not much louder than factory mufflers. I'm hoping the get a bit louder in time and I'm thinking once I get a CAI it will make it sound better, if not I will probally delete the resonator.

you should still have a resonator in keeping things quiet

cai will make the intake sound tits
but not the exhaust
