I have maybe 800 miles or so on my ceramic front brakes and everything is great - stopping power, brake dust is at a minimum. I had my front rotors replaced with brand new original rotors in the front at the time of brake replacement as well. The only little annoying thing now is the fairly minimal squeel just before coming to a complete stop. I'm not sure what brand ceramics they were but was curious if anyone else has this squeel and if so is there a remedy ? Thanks.

I have Hawk ceramics and they squeal just a bit under light pressure. Make sure the back of the pads and the contact points on the caliper bracket are lubed well, this will take care of a lot of the squealing. Our brakes have a greater tendency to squeal with the drilled rotors.

I've used a good product in the past that comes in a spray form and you spray it on the back side of your pads. It has a tacky texture to it and works really good. I can't remember the exact name, squeak stop or something like that. You will be able to find it at a auto parts store.

Wow, thanks, that would be great to have a a quick fix like that. I'll check into it. Especially if I don't have to take a wheel off. Thanks.

Roger, you'll still have to take the wheel off, and the caliper. It has to go between the pad and the caliper. that's where the noise can happen from small vibrations. All the lube does is help absorb it. And you thought you would get off easy lol.

Thought I was going to get away with hardly any work. Oh well, I tried but that seems like a good idea though so I'm going to check into it. Thanks.

I replaced my pads on the front with Wanger ceramics. Very slight, but noticeable squeal with windows down. Wndows up, you don't hear a thing. Miss the "grab" of semi-mets though.

I deal with the squeak. I don't particularly care about it. But, yeah, you'll have to do that work all over again to fix it.
