i am thinking about selling the cutout i have now and replacing it with this.

http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN5018/04EXH/Qui ... utout.html

here is a pic of where i have my cutout now. it has a lil bit of clearance issues where its at and i dont think that there is a lot of exhaust going out the cutout with this design. when i was dynoing the sniffer at the end of the exhaust read a decent mount of exhaust was still coming out the tips with it opened up.

here is my 1st grade drawing of our exhaust lol. the green line is the cutout location now and the red line is where i would put the new low profile one at.

do you guys think this would allow for better exhaust to flow out of the cutout compared to what i have now which in turn would give better performance gains? i will be wrapping the gas tank in heat shields so there shouldnt be an issue there. all input is appreciated.

why not have the cutout before the cat after the downpipe? you'd get better results in the end

Form what I've heard, and kind of experienced, if you drop the backpressure you will loose torque. When I had my Ram I tore the old exhaust out, needed some parts for the new exhaust and ran to the parts store Cat only and it did not feel as strong for low end as with the exhaust on.
