What a wonderful surprise, just in time for the holidays....That shuddering in the trans, and rpms bouncing I was feeling were my torque convertor coming apart and destroying everything else.....Hopefully I'll have the necessary repairs done before Christmas Eve.

72k, 2006. I thought I dodged a bullet, since I actually was able to drive the car to the trans shop. It started with what I assumed was the torque convertor locking and unlocking and uneven rpms when setting the cruise at anything above 35mph. Revs would bounce a few 100 rpms, but still driveable. I figured I was in for maybe the torque convertor solenoid, but that was not to be....Oh well, at least I'll have power steering after this as well. My rack has been binding for a month.....
