Does anyone know if there are any or major differences between the LS1 and LS4 throttle bodies?
I have a little experiment I would like to try, but first need to see how close the LS1 and LS4 TB's are to eachother.

Well there is one BIG difference.... LS1 TB is cable operated and LS4 is Drive-By-Wire. As for the sizes, i dont know, I'd actually like to know that one myself.... Where you going with this? You got my attention

But, assuming sizing is the same or similiar, couldn't you pull the cable apparatus off of an LS1 for the LS4? Or adapt the LS4 electronics to the LS1?

I am actually wanting to know, because I was looking for a TB spacer for our cars. I haven't found anything yet, and don't want to waste too much time looking, if the LS1 and LS4 tb's are the same size or bolt pattern.

I do believe that the Silverado 5.3 TB and the LS4 are the same bolt pattern, but bigger bore, and therefore may also be adapted to the LS4.

LS1 TB use 3 bolts to attach to the intake. LS4 use the newer 4 bolts to attach to the Intake.

So then the LS1 TB takes the same bolt pattern as the 5.3L from my truck as well. Wonder what the diff. is between them. Maybe the LS1 TB is bigger for better flow.

Im not certain but i think the 3 or 4 bolt mounting pattern may be related to the style of throttle. Cable or drive by wire. Though im not sure.
