Ok so I bought my gxp over summer. Everything seemed great until a couple months ago the low oil light came on. Somehow over 1500 or so miles my car had burned through 2 quarts of oil. Now its about 1500-2000 miles later and my car has the low oil light on again. There is no visible leakage and it doesn't seem to be being burned. Where is my oil going?? Also anyone else have this problem?

When you say the other forum, maybe you could provide a link?

However, the LS4 is known to burn a slight bit of oil. There is actually a TSB out there noting the problem. GM allows 1qt per ~1000 miles. You really should be checking your oil before it ever gets that low anywise. I check my cars fluids every week. Just to have that piece of mind.

I seem to burn about 1 quart every 5000 miles on mine.

On the GP GT I had I would get close to 8k miles if not more before I'd hit 30% on the oil life gauge, and would burn no oil. On the GXP I'm close to 30% at 5200 miles and it shows that it's a bit lower than usual. I don't do my own oil so I havn't measured it but I do check it often. That's on full synthetic btw.
