Is a full cat back needed or can I just do mufflers and tips? I found the magnaflow cat back for 648 on ebay but If I dont need the new cat I dont wanna dish out 700 bucks. I also wasn't sure if I wanted to do magnaflow cause I know some people who have just flowmaster mufflers on a few other cars and they sound damn good.

No, it isn't necessary. If you want just sound mufflers and tips will do just fine.

Holy crap I'm so confused lol. Theres turbo, s-type, turbo xl, boomer, multi-core, sportsman, glass pack, ultra flo, super turbo, ahhh! lol. And there center dual, dual dual, center center, side side, center side, what the crap am I supposed to get? I want to still have dual tips and i want them to hang out about a half inch from the bumper. As for the exhaust type and what sides I need I have no idea.

Also should I get them online, or from Summit Racing? I dont wanna get them online and end up getting the wrong one and have to pay for shipping so I dont mind paying a little extra to get them myself and know its right.

I can't really help you with that. Each muffler brand and brand type has a different sound. It is all up to personal preference, try going through the exhaust clip section and listen to exhaust clips online ( like youtube and streetfire.net) And see which one you prefer most. This might take sometime to decide.

Buy stainless if your car sees winters is my only advise.

yeah, it depends on what sound you are looking for. Straight through design mufflers will be louder. Smaller straight through will be even louder and the "turbo" will be the quietest as it snakes through the muffler. I'm referring to the Dynomax line, but it kind of applies to to all brands. Best place for sound clips is youtube.
