I had ordered the set up back in Feb. and was waiting for good weather to install it, there were some problems with the set up that I heard about on another site, and some one emailed the company that the fittment wasn't right. So the company revised the box and lid and said that if you box doesn't fit right to send the unit and lid back to them and they will send you back the revised version. Heres some pics of the revised box and install pics

Looks good man. What did they change to fix the fitment issue?

hey,

nice install.

I have the K&N air charger right now, came installed on my GXP. I've been thinking of selling my K&N kit and buying this kit.

Any performance improvements noticed over stock intake? Also, how does this intake sound? Does it whistle as it sucks in air?

thanks

U can find this set up at www.coldairinductions.com they cost $265.99, It doesn't whistle at all, when u get on it you can relally hear it sucking air, as far as I know they changed the dimensions and revised the box and the lid

They mount inside the air box, ecm on the botom, tcm on the side, and no need to unplug them

I was the one who brought the issue to their attention. The fit issue was due the othe fact that they made some assumtions about the fit between the impalla and the GXP. The angle where the fender and the front of the car meet are not teh same. The clip on nuts did not place well either THe new box is a much better fit. I wish the lid met the frame a bit closer but it works great. The issue now is that they are on eternal back order for the silicone tubes. You will have to make the stock tube work for a bit until they get them in.

Are you talking about the new silicone coupling?
