The wheels I'm going with are Liquid Metal Core. I think it is bad ass looking. I'm going to paint my calipers yellow to match the shock/strut springs. I think it will look pretty awesome with a black wheel and yellow calipers.

Let me know what you think. Not that it will change my mind ;-)

They are special order, so it's going to take about 4 to 6 weeks to get them. Good timing for the weather. Not a bad price either. With the TPMS (tire monitoring sensors) installed with new lugs, the total cost is $720. I'm putting 245/45-18 tires on them. The wheel is a 18 x 7.5. It was not available in a 18 x 8.

They should look good. If it were up to me I would color match the calipers to the car. I just don't see any other yellow on the car than the struts. Not sure how it would flow with the look of the car. Maybe a yellow GXP caliper decal instead.

I see what you are saying about the flow. I'm going to see if I can find some pics on the internet and see what they look like.

Well, so much for this plan. Those wheels are not available for at least 90 days. I can't find a black wheel that I like, so I've changed my course and will go with some Avenue A604's. These are about $30 more per wheel plus I'll have to put on the TPMS at $45 per wheel.

I can't wait that long. I'm getting a $250 refund on my yokohama tires and it has to be done within 30 days. If it wasn't for that, I'd wait.

Are you looking to stay with the 5x115 bolt pattern? If not have you considered looking into the 5x114.3 bolt pattern for more possibilities.

Didn't know that was a possibility. Pretty much out of time at the moment. Heading out of the country on Monday for about a month. But that's ok, I really like that Avenue wheel.

Yea, not going with the yellow. Any ideas for a color? I can't find my car color in the G2 caliper paint. The've got red, green, gold, black, blue, white, purple, yellow, orange, pink and silver. I'd have to keep them clean, but I'm leaning toward white.

What color is your car? I would think black or silver or a combination of the two would look good. I know that some mustang G2 kits can match the GM paints.

It's jewel red (paint code 80U).

-- Sat Feb 26, 2011 9:36 pm --

I just found that I can get the paint custom made on the G2 website. But it cost $99.99 per kit. That's $60 more then the basic colors. But, I might have to do it!

might be worth it tho..

IDK about white.. might be too much going on.. the black wheels wheels, the red, the tinted lights.. I think black with silver brackets might be good if you dont want to spend on the custom, or else custom plus black brackets = nice

I'm not doing the black wheels. Can't get them. Going with the chrome ones that are in this thread. I think I'll probably go with the custom color. Too damn much money, but what the hell.

It might be worth the price to have color matched calipers. If not then black with a chrome type of GXP caliper decal would look good to. I would also recommend you paint the rotor hats as well when you are painting the calipers. I would go with silver to blend them in with the chrome wheel.

I really liked the first wheels personally. Not feeling the seconds ones, but if you like them then go for it.

I won't be able to sell you the front wheels. Part of the deal was that I have to give my current wheels to the shop. They gave me a really good price, but they wanted all four wheels. Sorry.

5x4.5 = 5x114.3. It is the metric equivalent.

And that is how I run my drag tires is they are a deep set 5x4.5 that my dad had made with extra offset so he could put a wider tire under his car, sad thing is they fit the gp like they where made for it, just don't have much caliper clearance as they are 15's. My 18's are a 5x114.3 off a tiburon.
