Your running low 11's with a stock cam? What trap speed?

-- Sat May 07, 2011 3:41 pm --

You were just talking about buying a kit on 5/2-5/4. You have already installed, tunes, worked out all the bugs, and ran a 11.2 with absolutely no other mods other than a turbo kit. Stock heads and cam, something doesn't add up.

I would love it if it ran 125 traps, but just a couple days again he was talking supercharger and turbo. Just looking for more information because it doesn't add up.

11.5k wasted. It's still a FWD car and never able to launch worth a damn with that much power.

Guys really? Look, pictures with gpona on a sticky note in the picture to prove its an authentic Turbo setup as what you've said and what you're saying now don't add up period. And keebler please quit waisting your time on the forum. It's not RWD but you can still go far on a FWD platform. If you don't have anything to add or proof of said setup please just quit wasting time. We'll help if you're a GXP owner and can prove it with authentic pics but trolling is pointless and childish.

Hey Anthony, Keebler is a friend for mine and Kyle's, so piss off!!! Also sort of a dick move on your part to be so hostile and condescending to a new member. Not cool man, not cool. However, I do agree with Keebler (mostly becuase I was the one that posted that under his name by accident  ). It's dumb to have a FWD car (unless it's a track only car and not a DD, then FWD can go a pretty long way) that spins through just about every gear. Awesome with slicks, not awesome without unless you launch easy. You can go turbo in a FWD and still have a quick car (as Dave proved) but turboeing a GXP is just craziness in my book. There's a point where more power does not equal faster 1/4's since your 60 fts are slower than a Geo Metro. Spending 1/2 the cars value adding a turbo isn't my way of "having fun spending money." If I'm spending let's say 20k for a car, than another 10k for turbo, I'd say F it and get something sweeter, faster, and stock for 30k  STi sounds nice.

As for the OP :bsflag:
I'll call the turbo install bluff unless pics are posted. Shipping alone takes longer than a few days
Cool story about your light bulbs though. Nice copy and paste.

Maybe my mods should include standard equimpent.

Look at Matt's TTGT/BFTGT and tell me a FWD will not launch.

So when does the demod sale thread start? I need some new light bulbs, hehe.
And Dave, what Keebler meant (actually me since I posted it ;-) ) was it's silly for a DD. I know Matt's car can rape anything out there, but it's hardly a DD even though it is street legal. Those slicks the size of monster truck tire plus that wheelie bar are uber key. I wasn't saying you can't build an awesome FWD car though, just saying it's a little trickier to do on a car that steeted everyday.
Maybe it's just cause I'm jealous that I don't have 10 grand to make it rain

This

And I want to apologize to keebler, I'm not normally hostile towards new people but this whole thread was fishy so I went into troll hunt mode and he was caught in the crossfire. I do want to apologize again, not a hostile forum I just can't stand trolls...
